Stewart graduated from Mercer University School of Medicine, Macon, GA. in 2003; then completed internal medicine residency at the University of Florida, Shand's Jacksonville in 2006. Prior to pursuing a medical career Stewart worked at two summer camps in the Brevard area, teaching environmental education and wilderness skills.
Terri grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and taught elementary school for ten years. She then pursued a degree in nursing, and has since worked in several settings, including emergency room, intensive care unit, medical unit, and skilled nursing facility. Her nursing experience now includes that of an army nurse in Iraq, as her reserve unit is serving in Tikrit.
Terri and Stewart met during Stewart's residency in Jacksonville. They later married on December 4, 2007 and reside near downtown Brevard.
